In spite of the importance of water – indigenes in Nsawam and its environs taps now give them the whistle sound instead of its free flow of water.
The entire Nsawam township including the Nsawam Hospital now don’t have access to potable water for the past months.
But Ghana’s leading alcoholic beverage producer, Agya Appiah Bitter has come to the rescue of the township by providing them weekly with clean drinking water.
According to the company’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Francis Ansah – the company is keen on fulfilling its social responsibilities to the people of Nsawam and its environs.
“We want to ensure a brighter future for all our customers and particularly the people of Nsawam in this difficult times,” he said.
As part of the arrangement, the company makes weekly water deliveries to government institutions and the township – the kind gesture by Agya Appiah Bitters has been lauded by the Member of Parliament for Nsawam/Adoagyiri constituency, Hon Frank Ano Dompreh.
Nsawam government hospital, Nsawam secondary school and the orthopedic training center are all beneficiaries of the free water distribution.
