Top officials of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) Company have been accused of supporting the Bulk Distribution Companies (BDCs) to rob the oil storage company of petroleum products.
A comprehensive audit report by Ernst and Young (E&Y), on BOST from 2006 has revealed massive corruption involving past and present officials of the company.
Various stakeholders including the BDCs have asked government to establish a presidential committee to probe the allegations of bribery.
Duncan Amoah, Executive Secretary for Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) also spoke to the issue during an interview on Tuesday’s edition of ‘Kokrokoo’, saying “the issue is not only about BDC or BOST but the huge state funds going down the drain”. "These monies", according to him, "must be retrieved after investigations are conducted and concluded".
