The family head of Kofi Amoako, 24 who was stabbed to death by a 14-year-old girl have accused the Kade Police Command of attempting to cover up what he believes is a clear case of murder.
According to Kwadwo Adade, whose nephew was killed in cold blood is not content with the way and manner the investigations is being conducted by the police and on his word, “it is so because of the fact that they have big men backing them”.
“…from what I see for far, it would be very difficult for anyone to get justice in this country if you are not related to any big man. The girl who stabbed my nephew’s father was brought into kade many years ago by the former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Peter Nanfuri and I know that is why we are being treated this way”.
“How can you tell me that nephew attempted to rape the 14 year old girl who has a record stabbing, fifteen months away and managed to walk all the way home and died after being stabbed three times? Who would believe such a story?” He quizzed on NEAT 100.9 FM .
Kwadwo Adade further stated that the incident took place in the fill glare of people at Abaam in the Kwaebibrim District and not in an orange farm, which is fifteen miles away from the town, as earlier reported.
To him, the rape allegation is only a calculated attempt to cover up a crime.
It would be recalled that a widely circulated report on a 14 year old girl whose effort to foil a rape attempt by Kofi Amoako had resulted in the death of the alleged assailant.
The family has; however, call on the current IGP Mohammed Alhassan to launch a thorough investigation to ascertain the full facts of the case.
