Executive Director of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe is shocked at the pace at which the Ministry of Transport has cleared a domestic flight, Starbow to operate again hours after a nearly catastrophe.
A Takoradi bound Starbow flight was forced to make an emergency landing, Tuesday which two passengers sustained injuries to the ankle and the arm during an evacuation process.
According to an award winning gospel artist, Gifty Osei who was on the plane, 20 minutes into the Takoradi bound flight, the pilot told them the aircraft had developed a fault and so they had to return to the Kotoko International Airport (KIA).
"We were told to remain calm and that there was fire service personnel and other emergency personnel all around. So they told us to evacuate by using a balloon stairs, she told OKAY FM
But days after the nearly horrible incident, the Ministry of Transport has cleared the airline to fully operate.
However, the policy think tank boss, Franklin Cudjoe has quizzed the Ministry for their decision to allow a fully operation of Starbow.
Eish, within a few hours, the Ministry of Transport has cleared STARBOW to fly again? The Ministry has checked all the aircraft of Starbow? What tools did they use? What is going on in this town? Alhassan Suhuyini you are on the Aviation Board...Tell us something!!! he posted on his Facebook wall.
