As ECOWAS Heads of State summit is underway in Accra, various identifiable groups have made appeals to the Leaders to consider as they take critical decisions to benefit all member states.
One of such groups are the Ghana Federation of Labour.
The Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour, Abraham Koomson, has asked Heads of State meeting in Accra to take a deeper look at the Economic Partnership Agreement, EPA, before going ahead to sign it.
Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr. Koomson said the Heads of State
must consider the implications and interest of the European Union and the future generation of the sub-region.
Again, the President of Youth Africa, an NGO, Emmanuel Ashigbey, has also appealed to the ECOWAS Heads of State to take concrete decision on the movement of persons and goods in the sub-region.
He said the harassment at the borders is a difficult problem which cannot auger well for integration.
According to him, if this is done the sub-region would see the development it desires.
