The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) says media reports that its case against think tank, Imani was thrown out is completely false.
SSNIT dragged policy think tank, IMANI Ghana to court over non-payment of workers Social Security contributions.
The magistrate struck out the case after the counsel for the Director of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe made a submission that his client had been wrongfully charged.
A statement issued by SSNIT and signed by its Corporate Affairs Manager, Evangeline Amegashie noted that "SSNIT finds it disconcerting that the presiding magistrate said the accused is acquitted and discharged after he struck out the case."
It further stated that "wrong impressions about the court ruling were created after lawyers for Franklin Cudjoe granted media interview"
