The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II says foreign development partners must shift from just building toilets and schools for Ghana.
He rather wants the development partners to focus on the training of local Assembly personnel to generate wealth for development.
Addressing a visiting Dutch Mayor at Manhyia, Asantehene expressed worry that the Assemblies are not taking advantage of urban development, traffic management and other avenues to generate funds for development.
Mayor Annemarie Juarisma, is in the Region to inspect projects initiated and funded by the Dutch government through a sister city initiative in parts of Kumasi.
Luv Fms Erastus Asare Donkor reports that Otumfuo Osei Tutu hinted of plans to move into the offices of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to demand accountability.
"We've been left out of the system in which they work; I don't interfere but it gets to a point where I want to know exactly what is happening," Otumfuo said.
