One person has been arrested in Kumasi for attempting to sell fake tickets for the Ghana-Egypt FIFA World Cup play-off to unsuspecting fans.
The racketeer, name withheld was toppled in a joint operation by the Ministry of Youth and Sports the National Security.
The crucial encounter, slated for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi has so far seen about 34, 000 printed tickets sold out with many football fans still desperate to grab a copy.
Joseph Yameen, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister confirming the arrest said the culprit would be arraigned before court after investigations.
He cautioned the public to be on the lookout in order not to be swindled in their anxiety to get access to tickets for Tuesday's game.
He hinted some scanning devices would be paraded at all entry points to the Stadium to check fake tickets on the day of the match.
