Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Frank Ano Dompreh has called on government to expedite action on the release of fund such as the MP�s Common Fund, if developmental projects are to be carried out on time.
The MP made the appeal during a tour of some Senior High Schools in his constituency.
The tour was to ascertain at firsthand some challenges facing the schools.
Speaking to Citi News Frank Ano Dompreh noted that if funds were dispensed on time, the MP�s could carry out projects to help their constituents.
�We want to take this opportunity to appeal to government that the GETFund and other funds that are supposed to be paid to
Otherwise we can only appeal to corporate bodies and philanthropists to come in and help.�
He noted that he was prepared "to take part of my salary to support the school project because it is very basic and key.�
The MP added that: �It (Common Fund) has to be paid in time so that we can embark on the second action which would have an overall effect on the whole school otherwise these small inputs cannot have a lasting effect on the school.�
