The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) yesterday announced the resumption of the weekly media briefing by the Government at the Flag Staff House from Thursday, April 11.
The press briefing is to be attended by either a News Editor or the Deputy, but where it becomes impossible for the News Editor or the Deputy to attend; only the Head of a Desk will be allowed to participate on behalf of the media house.
A statement signed by Bright Blewu, GJA Out-going General Secretary to the Ghana News Agency in Accra directed media institutions to submit questions or issues, at least two days, ahead of the stated date to the GJA.
The statement also named the Private News Paper Publishers Association of Ghana or the Minister for Information and Media Relations as points for submission of questions.
It said media houses could choose to send their questions to the GJA General Secretary through: [email protected] or to the President of the Private News Paper Publishers Association via: [email protected] or the President of the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association through [email protected].
According to the GJA, the mid-week media briefing follows an understanding reached with the Ministry of Information and Media Relations to create a platform to improve media-government information flow.
