A fire outbreak at the Navrongo market in Upper East region on Sunday afternoon is said to have destroyed several shops and stalls.
The fire was said to have started around 4pm.
There has not been any reported casualties as of now.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Navrongo, Mr Emmanuel Andema has since visited the scene and said a
lot of stores have been burnt completely destroying properties worth hundreds of Ghana cedis.
He said personnel of the Ghana Fire Service are battling the inferno.
