The Half Assini District magistrates Court on Friday granted a GH 5,000 bail to Madam Grace Quansah who was arrested at the Jewi Wharf weekly market selling solar torch lights meant for cocoa farmers.
A source close to the court told the Ghana News Agency that Madam Quansah who pleaded not guilty was granted bail when she made her third appearance in court.
The court presided over by Mr Hans Kofi Kpogo ordered her to re-appear on Feb. 26, 2013.
The accused who hails from Gomoa Dego in the Central Region was arrested on January 25, 2013, selling six and a half cartons of the Incentive Package Torch light supplied to cocoa farmers in the country, the police sources said.
The source said Madam Quansah was selling the torch lights at GH 7 each, even though the items were not meant for sale.
