The Electoral Commission in the Volta region has told XYZ News that adequate electoral materials for the ongoing biometric voter registration have been provided.
This follows complaints by the National Democratic Congress that shortage of materials in the region was deliberate and accused some EC officials of masterminding the shortage.
However, according the electoral commission, such concerns were not peculiar to the Volta region and indicated that the concerns have been addressed.
Chairperson for the EC in the Volta region, Lawrencia Kpatakpa in an interview with XYZ News said the situation has returned to normalcy and registration is progressing smoothly.
The materials have been so anybody who is qualified to register can just go out there and register Madam Kpatakpa said.
