Doubts about the completion and operationalization of the government’s flagship project, Agenda 111 hospitals seem answered by the President's health right-hand man.
Dr. Anthony Nsiah-Asare who was speaking to NEAT FM’s morning show, 'Ghana Montie' assured Ghanaians that the project despite challenges will be opened to the public across the country next year.
He, however, did not give a specific date but was optimistic most would be commissioned.
“We’ll be doing most commissioning from the Northern sector and gradually open all to the public across the country,” he assured.
The Agenda 111 initiative is providing 101 standard 100-bed district hospitals with accommodation for doctors and nurses in districts without district hospitals and six new regional hospitals for each of the six new regions.

Please don't stampede the contractors to do shoddy work. We have since instances in the past where a president or First Lady was to commission a project in one region. The letter of the visit got to the RCC late at a time the said project was about 90% complete. The regional minister ordered the DCE to ensure that the project wa completed in 48 hours. The DCE had to put his official vehicle and other assembly vehicles headlights on throughout the night as painters were busy painting. If there is a dedicated funding source for these projects, allow the contractors to do quality job after all who ever takes over in 2025 will continue unless that person decides to say " you do me, i do you " . So called politicians have deceived Ghanaians all these years, now you see them chasing their own shadows. Every enlightened person knows that development is not a one time activity but a continuous process. I. Ghana it's like if you abandon my uncompleted projects when you took over, i will also abandon your uncompleted projects when i also come back. The interesting thing is that these funds doesn't belong to them, it's the Ghanaian taxpayers money but nobody can talk. Go to any of the then 10 regions of Ghana, you will find abandoned uncompleted projects started by the Colonel I. K. Acheampong regime still standing as at the time of his overthrow. Who are the politicians harming? How much was a bag of cement, iron rods, sand, chippings, by day labourer as at the time Mahama left office in 2017 with his abandoned uncompleted E-blocks schools and hospitals all over . Today, how much is the price of the items listed earlier such that if a contractor were to go back to site today, the contractor sum for the remaining works will be more than the total contract sum of the project as at 2016. So did Ghana go or did Ghana come. The amazing thing is that the very powerful traditional rulers who speaks their mind without looking back have all be given V8's with pickups to run errands for them. Who doesn't want comfort and prestige? The " medicine " for those outside mainstream politics is under the feet of the so called politicians, very easy to reach, after all it's the poor tax payers money they will use to buy you your medicine (Toyota land cruiser V8) and Nana, Togbe, Naaba, Naa, Nii, Nene, Wura is completely " cured ". Very simple.
Why will you build in bushes when District capitals have no hopitals? Would you expect us to send COVID patients (or patients of any future outbreaks) to CHIP compounds? Leave politics aside and support good initiatives.
So Dr when NDC come will you be a doctor or Politician .Turning everything into politics is bad for the country .We have left hospitals , clinics etc 90%, 70%, 50% completed in the bushes and use the same tax payers money to start new one . Putting burden on the citizenry while these matured leaders knows there is little money .
What is the NDC, her paid CSO's and Stomach journalist saying about this?
Oh hmmmm, Mahama says this is a country in crisis! Pity him!
