Gari has been a staple food in many Ghanaian households for years.
While some shun it because they classify it as food for the poor, others say it is the most convenient meal to come by.
However, in Kenyasi in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana, gari has been fortified with soyabeans, margarine and salt to boost its nutritional and market value.
Fortified gari is expected to help in the fight against malnutrition.
