South Africa have opened up a nine point lead over England in the Rugby World Cup final in Yokohama, Japan.
The tense and scrappy first half was dominated by penalties and stoppages, with England losing key man Kyle Sinckler to a suspected head injury early in the game, the prop appearing to have been knocked out cold in a collision.
Handre Pollard's penalties had put South Africa ahead before England's captain Owen Farrell responded with two kicks of his own.
However, the Springboks finished the half with two more penalties in quick succession to open up a commanding six-point interval lead.
