Nana Kweku Appiah, Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District Manager of the Produce Buying Company Limited, has asked marketing clerks to pay the 2014/15 farmers bonus upfront.
He warned that any clerk who failed to follow the directives would be sanctioned.
Nana Appiah gave the warning at Brakwa on a duty tour and advised the farmers to endeavour to buy passbooks.
He asked the farmers to send their passbooks along anytime they visited the society centres to weigh their produce.
Nana Appiah said this was important in order to make recordings in their passbooks to enable the company to have accurate data on the farmers and to enable them to have access to scholarships from COCOBOD for their wards.
He said the district had set up a team that would move around to check the payment of the bonuses to ensure the successful disbursement of the bonuses.
