Over the last two years, local rice production in Ghana stood at 30 percent.
But currently, the nation has surpassed that mark and witnessed an increment in the production that has blossomed to 66 percent.
This new mark was welcomed by the Minister for Food and Agriculure, Hon. Clement Humado, who was delighted to state that the increase has helped in combating hunger and food security in the country.
He said this, during the signing ceremony of the Country Programming Framework, and the Agriculture Sector Wide Approach, agreement in Accra.
