Accra Bourse Index Slips On Losses In Four Equities

The GSE-Composite Index (GSE-CI), the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, slipped 2.1 points to 1,029.02 points from 1,031.12 points at the previous close with a year-to-date return of 6.19 per cent.

The GSE-Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI), which tracks the performance of listed financial stocks, also fell by 2.01 points to 891.88 points from 893.89 points with a year-to-date change of 3.34 per cent.

There were six price changes – two up and four down.

Enterprise Group Limited gained GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.38 and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited rose GH¢0.01 to GH¢1.58.

On the flip side, UT Bank shed GH¢0.02 to GH¢0.30, Produce Buying Company was down GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.24, Ecobank Ghana fell GH¢0.01 to GH¢3.18 and Aluworks Limited dropped GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.11.

Market Capitalization closed the session marginally at GH¢50,824.12 million from GH¢50,834.79 million.

A total of 78,045 shares were traded valued at GH¢52,079.25 compared to 236,071 shares worth GH¢160,077 on Monday.
