Audio Attachment:NPP's legal luminaries are disgraceful and two-faced- Mosquito |
The General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has taken a direct swipe at the legal team that represented the NPP at the Supreme Court on Tuesday, describing them as disgraceful legal luminaries who are two-faced.
Though it is an open secret that the former legislature has no legal background, he took time to remind the NPP lawyers to keep in mind that there is a huge difference between pursuing a case at the magistrate court and the Supreme Court.
For the judges to have the gut to ask their lead counselor that if you can speak like this at the Supreme Court, we wonder what you would say at the Magistrate Court, it tells you a lot, General Mosquito said.
When you go around this country, you would realize that the NPP convince people they have the best brains when it comes to legal matters. They even claim they know the right time to plant corn...but even after they have dressed their lead lawyer with the biggest suite you can find on earth, he came making mockery of himself, he added.
Asiedu Nketia, remarked on Okay FMs Ade Akye Abia programme that, it comes as a surprise, to learn that lawyers representing the NPP are claiming that their petition to the Supreme Court doesnt indict President Mahama of using fraudulent means to win the 2012 general elections.
A charged 'Mosquito', as the NDC scribe is affectionately called, noted that the NPP lawyers were always in a hurry to step out of court and organize rallies to incite their supporters instead of thinking about pursuing their baseless case in court.
When the lead counsel for the NPP was quizzed, he was fumbling and saying things like we didnt bring any fraud case to the court. I havent said the NDC used foul means to win the elections, neither have I said President Mahama did same. All I am saying is that there were irregularities.
Pressed further to indicate where all the irregularities took place, he said if he was to mention all the polling stations involved, it means he had revealed all of the NPPs evidence..."if I look at how they pursued their case in court yesterday(on Tuesay), I would have resigned if I were a member of that NPP, he said.
